- Solving over 1500 sex offenses with confessions as an expert in sexual predator Identification/Child Sexual Assualt/Abuse Prevention and Investigation
- Conducting over 5000 Polygraph Examinations
- Countless hours of training in Investigations, Interviewing and Interrogation, Violent Crimes, and Sex Crimes
- Member of the SWAT Team from 1997-2015, participating in and overseeing the apprehension of the most dangerous criminal in Kanawha County, as well as, Presidential and Congressional Protection
- Team Commander for the last 8 years of service

- Certified by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security in Managing Weapons of Mass Destruction Incidents.
- Trained by Military Instructors on the latest effects of Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear and Explosives events and how to operate in each.
- Will ensure all Deputies are trained and equipped to keep citizens safe in CBRNE environments.
- Certified at all levels of Weapons of Mass Destruction (WMD) including Tactical Commander's Courses from Louisiana State University
- Certified in multiple Advanced Active Shooter and Hostage Rescue training programs
